Artist’s Valley

We have been contacted by some fantastic artists in the Retro scene and because of this we are delighted to be able to showcase a lot of their artistic works in Artist’s Valley. If you would like to showcase your art please contact us as we would love to showcase it for you. (This will be limited to availability so contact us early)

Cosplay Competition

8 Bit Conference
Gaming and Cosplay go hand in hand and what would a gaming conference be without a cosplay competition. We have people from all over participating in this fantastic event cosplaying icons such as Mario, Zelda, Cloud and more. The competition is open to all so don’t be afraid to get that needle and thread out.

Auction

8 Bit Conference
We love our Rare Retro games and consoles and we will be putting on an auction during the event for people to display and auction off their rare commodities. If you have something that you would like to auction off please don’t hesitate to contact us and if you can’t attend we would be more than happy to auction your items for you.

Gaming Competitions

8 Bit Conference
What’s a Gaming Conference without a Gaming Competition? Well we will be running 6 tournaments each day consisting of Speedruns (Donkey Kong & Super Mario Brothers), Beat-em Ups (Super Street Fighter 2 and Super Smash Bros) and of course racing with Mario Kart 64. Gaming competitions are a spectator sport and thus we will be having several screens around the event constantly streaming the competitions with the final of each on a large projector screen in the main area of the event. The places are limited so don’t be afraid to book in early if you think you have the bottle.

Guest Panels

8 Bit Conference
Gaming is a passion and who else to speak about that passion than gamers themselves. We will be having panels consisting on collectors, gamers, developers and more. Ever wonder what the most collectable game for the Super Nintendo is and why? Ever wonder what goes into developing a game or what long term gamers of a specific franchise (we like to call experts) think of your favorite game? Well we have it covered, so don’t miss out on getting your panel tickets early.

Bar and Restaurant

8 Bit Conference
Not only are we proud to be hosting our event in the historical location of Griffith College but we will also be providing access to the College’s Bar/Restaurant. If you need a rest from gazing at all the incredible items on show or want to have a discussion about a certain topic or your stomach is just craving a cheese and ham toastie take advantage of the college’s bar/restaurant on the ground floor. (Please note no food or beverages are allowed in the main event area).

We know that there are elements of an event that are important to people, such as ease of access, feeling secure and knowing there is knowledgeable staff to show you around. We have it all covered, with expert security on hand, a large staff and volunteer base easily recognizable by their attire and badges and parking available to all.
